Robert "Bob" McCoy named Tumbleweed General Manager of the Year

Louisville, KY - February 20, 2010 – Bob McCoy of Memphis, IN was named a 2009 Tumbleweed Restaurants General Manager of the Year at an awards gala on February 6, 2010.

Tumbleweed recognizes top General Managers from restaurants throughout Kentucky, Indiana and Ohio each year. One GM from each of its three restaurant groups is selected annually as that group’s General Manager of the Year and McCoy, who runs Tumbleweed Waterfront won the 2009 honor at the historic Brown Hotel in Louisville.

This is the second time McCoy has been recognized with the award of General Manager of the Year. This year, his was one of only three Tumbleweed restaurants to increase sales and customer counts. In total he increased his store’s OPI by four full percentage points over 2008, and brought in 9,782 more guests. Increases carryout, bar and large party sales also factored prominently in McCoy’s 2009 success.
